Three Way To Use Branding Photography To Use Build The “Know, Like & Trust” Factor With Your Ideal Clients
When I was first starting in my business, I would constantly hear, read, & see content marketers talk about the “know, like and trust” factor. But I didn’t know how it applied to me - or my clients.
As a personal brand photographer, I knew it was essential to spend time studying how I could use these Marketing Elements in photos which would drive sales increases for my clients. So, I did what I do best - research AND practice.
After researching and working with dozens of women; the following are, what I have found to be, the most impactful ways photography can help you build your “know, like, and trust“ factor for your business.
1) Know - Put yourself in the shot! But not just as a headshot. People want to see who they are going to be working with and how you are different from the other experts in your field. They want to know who you are, what you are about.
Action and lifestyle shots are great and offer more dynamic and engaging content to help your prospective clients know who you are and what you are about! These pictures help tell your story.
2) Like - You know what your clients want and you have built a brand around that. Add elements of your brand to the shot - this could be brand colors, your personal style, your values, your family. Again - headshots are good for this, but a variety of action, candid, and lifestyle shots are much better to help your potential clients realize how much they like you and want to work with you.
3) Trust - Showing yourself actively doing your work builds your credibility and authority as an expert in your field. And it is one of the easiest ways to use photography to build trust with your ideal client. An easy way to do this is to show yourself working at your computer or at your desk on your latest project.
Bonus Tip - Leave negative space in the photos! Why? Negative space is super helpful when you want to add your photos to the different mediums (like websites and social) to market your brand and you need to crop or add words to the image (like in your insta-stories)
And lastly, don’t forget to celebrate! You worked hard to create some amazing content and you deserve to feel amazing about the work you are doing.
